As I haven't got a trailer, I'll driving my car down there at a steady 80 (...ish) - probably leaving 10am on Thursday for a civilzed, non-rushed run down

If any non-trailer people want to caravan down, give me a shout

I'm in.  Once we get a few more folks, we can pick a meeting spot.  Anyone know the best scenic route down to VIR sans trailer?

forget 95.

go out of your way and go west to carlisle and 81 south to lexington to 60 to 501 to south boston. this route is NOT for trailers. great roads! quite a few more miles but much less of a pia - plus 81 in wv is 70 mph speed limit so if you are doing 80 anyway, the ticket will be less.

301 through Maryland...nice easy straight route, drops you just above Roanoke...  7.5 hrs coming back last time...
