if I had space and extra $$, I'd take the track car + street Porsche - the best of both worlds.

I had a bad experience doing a DE at Summit two weeks ago.
First, I found out that one of my track tires had a nail in it at the last moment. Well, driving street tires can be fun sometimes. Actually, I had a lot of fun running street tires on Saturday as I was not the slowest guy out there and I can play with some lower horse power cars with track tires. Second, I forgot to bring my eye drops and I wore my contact lens for 16 hours straight and rubbing my left eye too many times during the day. I ended up going to the emergency room on Sunday because I scratched my cornea and it hurt so bad that I had a hard time driving from Shooney's to the track. I have the car there at the track, weather was good and I can't drive because of my eye. If I have to pick, I would pick health but no wealth. I prefer to have both. What good is wealth if you can't take advantage of it to have some physical fun like driving fast in a race track. Now I give you track junky a tough choice. Wider but less sticky track tires (Like the Kumho Vector Racer, 245/275 17) or Narrower stickier track tires (Like Hoosier, 225/255 17)
Drive while I can

Kam, I hope all is getting better with the eyes.
For a DE environment with a stock 996, I'd have to go with the wider, less sticky tire to help dial out the understeer. To watch a movie: go to the theater or home theater

Home Theater - I eat too much popcorn when we go out.

Summit Point when it's cold.
If by cold you mean 65 degree's Summit Point during the day or Summit Point during the night?

Never, my wife wouldn't stand for it.
Take the day off to caravan with tow vehicles at 65mph. OR Work a half-day and rush to the track in the car.

I once read that 70 percent of the people admit to peeing in the shower. I'm guessing the other 30 percent are liars.
Take the day off. Would you rather get into the ring with Mike Tyson Or Chuck Lidell
