Great w/e at the Glen. I enjoyed my time on the track in both the wet and the dry. I wanted to thank Tom, Jack, Carol, Paul, Steve etc for a great event.

I have more days at the Glen then any other track and that comfort really helped me try to become one with this new car. We are really beginning to mesh.

Driving with other drivers in RTR that I know really helped me this w/e in trusting everyone and therefore made it easier (and safer) to keep the momentum up in my car.

Thanks again for organizing.

+1  -This was my first time running with RTR and I had a wonderful experience, what a great group!  Thanks to all, (esp. Jeff Haas and Fred for their expert advice).   I'm looking forward to becoming more actively involved, starting to work on the wife now for permission...

I enjoyed the opportunity to spend quality time with Riesentoter at this past weekends' Watkins Glen event.  The high level of creative energy among the Executive staff was obvious and very gratifying to see.

My nephew Chris and I would like to extend our thanks to everyone that helped put together this outstanding Driver's Ed event.

I would also like to extend my thanks and gratitude to Tom Z and his Speed Council for puting on a first class event.  As a track junkie I attend many regions events and the organization of RTR events is by far the best I have seen.  I was able to again advance my driving skills and achieve new goals I had set for myself.  Hope to see many of you again at our Summit event coming up this month.

For many reasons, this was an incredibly special event for me.  I busted my arse for three weeks straight scrambling to get the car back together... and wondering the entire time what was going to happen when I got back behind the wheel.

I was a little shaky at first, but slowly started to get some confidence back thanks to some gentle pushing by my instructor (thanks Bob).

The car ran beautifully (special thanks to Bill Dougherty who basically put the car back together in 10 days).  It was awfully close... panic set in when I went to pick the car up on Thursday afternoon and she was still up on the lift.  I think just about every guy in the shop was circling around my car like it was a code blue in an E.R.  In the end, the car re-emerged better than ever... not a single hiccup over 10 full run sessions.

Have to also thank Jeff Haas and Jack Cramer for coming through with basically all the suspension components I needed for the repair.

I am extremely happy that I decided to keep the car.... she ain't pretty, but she's mine (warts and all)!

I agree with all the positive comments.  For a greenie especially, this track is just incredible.  I had a great time, kept the car unscathed, and actually learned quite a bit thanks to some really good instuction from Mike Pechstein and a very instructive demo run with Steve Meenan in his beautiful TT.

Anxiously waiting to get out there again.

And, as usual, a great bunch of folks to hang with over the weekend.

+1 for an amazing weekend.  My first DE event EVER and what better way to spend it than with all you RTR guys at the Glen?  Surely a highlight in my "Car guy" career Smile

Special thanks to Tony for all his help, instruction, and patience with me.  Couldnt have been any better.

Also big thanks to Doughertys for all their help over the course of the weekend.  Really made my first DE experience go smoothly - and you can bet I will be back!!!

It was great to meet lots of new faces and chat with those of you that i already knew - hope to see you all soon Smile  (Thunderbolt? Muhahahahaha)

PS:  Tony, i have your CDOC hat in my car - ill drop it off sometime this week.

Eric, I think the best way to get the wife's "permission" for track events is to get her out driving, too! If she likes to drive, she'd be addicted in no time!
