Friday August 15, Maple Grove

I just saw the NHRA ad this weekend during the F1 race, and it rminded me that Friday August 15 will be the day for the Toyo Nationals at Maple Grove.  Friday is just a great day in that you get to see everything run.  We usually have a pretty good group that shows up.

Who is coming this time around?

I've been planning this since it rained last year.  Ok, it didn't rain long but it did enough for me to bag it.  Big mistake.

 

And now this year I have another commitment and can't go.  At least not on Friday but I'm trying to make Saturday work.

I am going to try to make it. I want to bring Jr. with me so we probably won't be staying too long. Possible caravan?

Eric.  More than happy to caravan, but be aware, I leave pretty early in the morning. Sportsman runoffs start at about 9 in the morning.

Mike.  You are missing the fun.  Sure, Saturday and Sunday "matter more", but on Friday, you get to see the most cars run.  Either way, I wish you could come on Friday.  Remember the time we were standing just about right on top of Larry Dixon's car when they fired it off?  Good times.....
