Obviously the Porsche engineers know best, but I was surprised to learn that the gas tank was aft the cockpit.    That seems counter-intuitive for a mid, or rear, engine layout.

Anyone know the weight distribution stats off-hand?    I think that the Boxster Cayman is 63-37% with the tank in the front
