Just looking to see what people think of the newest addition to the Porsche line up.  Personally, I really like the lines on the car... although I'm not sure about the soft-top look when its up.

Thoughts from my Cayman/Boxter buddies?  Others?  Cool

Like the spoiler - don't like the top or the "lumps".

Porsche is finding it increasingly more difficult to compete in the new car marketplace -- particularly in this economy -- because its price point is one of the highest in its class.  Not to say the value of the car isn't there, just that there are a lot of options in the $61.2K - $78K+ price range.

Without creating an entirely "new" car model, the Spyder is a tricked up version of the popular Boxster model using relatively inexpensive body panel tricks to achieve a more stylish look.  Just like any other model, it will appeal to some and not to others.

More impotantly, it has reduced the weight of the car while increasing horsepower.  This alone is the single most important improvement.... IMHO.

Nice video and display of the top.  It certainly makes the proper sounds.
