What does it mean to have blueish edges on rear tires. They are r888.

Jim,  blue is typically from excessive heat.  Next time your at the track do pyrometer readings and verify your toe/ camber/pressures are correct.  It is possible to be working the tires too much also.

Jim that is usually the sign of heat.  If they are grained then your being a little to hard on them ( or your suspension needs some help).  If the tire surface looks healthy then your running them just fine.  Post a picture.   I can show you a comparison of a properly worn tire.

On the outside edge? Means you need to go faster.  Or run less negative camber.

Have you checked tire temps?

What I think most people do in the beginning is to take alignment recommendations from more experienced and faster drivers, which makes sense in a way.

Since they are faster usually with better prepped cars they can also take advantage of more negative camber.  I think that's probably what is going on for you and you might be better off taking some of the rear camber out for now and when the package of you and the car gets faster you'll end up eventually dialing it back in.
