Did anyone see the Boxster doing a Barrel-Roll during yesterday's race at VIR?  The car flew through the air, banging the guard rail along the way, and ultimately ended up "right-side-up".  And the driver merely unbuckled his harness and walked away.

A great example of how effective today's safety equipment is.

The Driver was Rick Deman.  He went two wheels off and dropped into a divot.  There is in car video of the wild ride on Rennlist posted by Rick. He was very upset with VIR for not filling in the divots at the side of the track.

Typical American response.  A driver gots too agressive, puts two wheels off, and then complains about a divot in the track. Big Grin

I watched this event with a buddy of mine who belongs to the BMWCCA.  When the Boxster went flying through the air, he turned to me and said, "Of course, it's a Porsche."  I took that as a compliment.
