Hey guys,

Is it possible to install weight distribution hitches on open Trailex trailers?

Recently read online that you cannot (or is it just difficult to do?). Or is the open Trailex so light that none is needed? Huh

TIA.

The asnwer is no on the bolted together models. I think it is possible on the welded models.

I don't think so. I had a buddy who wanted to install one on a Trailex and I think they told him no. There was a risk of deforming the aluminum or something. Don't know if Brian's comment might be an alternative. I would call them and ask. Or, be happy with your lower weight and better gas mileage compared to us towing iron wagons ;-)

Thank you, gentlemen. Smile

Just got back from Shenandoah where I discovered that I had corded the inside of both of my front tires. Even more incentive to start trailering (too much negative camber notwithstanding)!
