According to WGI, http://www.theglen.com/Articles/2014/11/11052014.aspx , The Boot will be repaved beginning in July and the remaining Short Course will be repaved immediately after the "Cheez-It" (NASCAR race) 8/10. The Glenora Wine Cellars U.S. Vintage GP will be 7/24-26 which looks our usual DE weekend.

So it does appear the Glen is cancelled for next year...ughhh....but I know the DE team will come up with something different for all to enjoy as they do a tremendous job through out the year.

Our usual weekend is the VERY end of July. For 2015 that would be July 31-Aug. 2. Assuming that the repave will be done by then and the asphalt is cured, we will probably have our annual event.Smile

the official word is the glen is cancelled for us next year but Marty and the boys are hard at working trying to come up with a plan of attack. I know the Glen is one of the best attended events...everyone loves the Glen but we have one of the BEST DE's in the country so I'm sure something else will happen for you guys.

You can say that again. A lot of drivers will be looking for track time in the late summer. That said, 2016 should be great fun at The Glen with the concrete patches gone--especially in the rain!

Most of my club racing was done when I lived in Detroit and Mid-Ohio was my favorite track. I have been to Mid-Ohio the last two years and the track layout is the same as I remember, the front half is quite fast and the back is technical. The current sealer used on the track makes it almost undrivable in the wet. Tow time from the Phila. area is about the same as VIR, 7-1/2 hrs but easier as almost all is Interstate.

I'm glad to hear you say that about the sealer Bill. I drove Mid-Ohio last year. I didn't drive in the wet, although it poured Day one. I found the sealer to be very (almost dangerously) slick the following two days when I used Goodrich R1's. Switched to Hoosier R6's and all was well even though the track was dry.
