Well, I have decided to make the leap and try out slicks (well, DOT semi-slicks...but hey, baby steps!).  In any case, after getting these things mounted on my wheels, putting the car on the trailer, and then bringing it home, I realized that the diameter on my front tires, once mounted, isn't quite what I was expecting based on Tire Rack's spec sheet for the R7s and may cause some rubbing issues for me.  So, I have a brand new pair of 245/40/18 R7s that I can bring to Summit Point this weekend if anyone needs/wants them. (I only drove these onto my trailer, and then off the trailer and into my garage - no heat cycles.  Sticker residue is there - but auto shop pulled the actual stickers off - hah.).  I just paid $750 plus tax, etc. for the pair, but I will take $600.

(Sorry for posting here instead of the classifieds section.  Given the timing of the Jefferson/Shenandoah event this weekend, I wanted to put it in front of the DE folks in case anyone needs/wants me to bring them, as I am in the process of prepping for the trek).

Cheers,

Daniel
