I am going to autox coming up in Warminster and still don't have a helmet. I would rather get my own and try it on before buying. Are there any local shops which sell Snell 2005(want to use it for DE as well) helmets? Thanks a lot.

I don't know if Dougherty's has any in stock or not, but would be worth a call.  610-692-6039

The scary part of this msg is that I did not have to look that number up  Sad

You might want to check out a local motorcycle shop, it's always best to try them on before you buy. FYI, there are 2 kinds of helmets that RTR approves-- M or SA rated. The SA rated helmets have a Nomex-lined, fire-retardant liner (which if you have any future aspirations of racing is required) and the M is not. I've gotten mine online once I tried some on and decided on size, style and manufacturer:

Also, for Sunday the SCCA has loaner helmets albeit they are bright neon colors so no one takes them home Wink

The is a dealer that carries a  good supply of Simpson helmets
Here is the web link a1racing.com
The building is in Warmister
I tried on a bunch of helmets there. They were very helpful
but I could not find a really good fit.

Philly SCCA has a 15% group discount on helmets.  The discount has been extended indefinitely!  Read this thread for details.  Must present an SCCA membership card to get the discount.

Get the closed face helmet is you want to intimadate your competitors Cool

The open faced helmets are nice because they are lighter, there is nothing to fog up, have increased air flow and have a greater field of vision.

http://www.gforce.com/productdirectory.html I use a Gforce GF750 and I love it.
