Over the past year or two a number of people have asked me to put together another group trip to the drag race (NHRA nationals) at Maple Grove.

It's in September.... and I know it's a long way away but who all is interested?  Let me know and I'll see if we can make some group arrangement.

Here's the schedule:  (Hint: Friday is the day (night) to go)

Ok, perhaps I was not clear in my original post.

This trip would be to go as a spectator to a national event.  If you've never been to an event that has fuel cars running, you need to go.....

Last time we went we showed up mid afternoon on Friday and watched some action in the pits and then the late afternoon qualifing of the fuel cars.  The highlight of the show was watching them rebuild an engine in the pits between rounds.

I knew what you were talking about.  It still sounds like fun.  Bring extra earplugs.

I am in!!!!!

Can we go earlier in the day, though?  It's fun to watch them set up.

Drag Racing is, without a doubt, the only car event that is spectator friendly.

When I went to the Ford Nationals at Maple Grove, the Pro Stock Mustangs were running in the elevens. You must have a really impressive car.
