I will be there though I am not accepting Nick's offer. Even though he writes in caps, it's all fine print ladies and gents.

Nick,
The only way I will accept your offer is if you add 1400 lbs of ballast to your car -- I think that will make us about equal in weight (car & driver). I, unfortunately, can't do anything about my lack of talent & experience by the 22nd. Paul

Quote:Nick, Paul, you're talking about the 1:23 scale plastic model 911 I have on my bookshelf?. I'm sorry, but my car, empty, weighs 2450lbs, and a lot less HP than your lovely late model 911. 245's are the widest tire I can get under the rear fenders, but then again, I pay $700.00 for a set of Toyo RA-1s, mounted. You have a very capable car........NO MORE EXCUSES!! THE RED EYE SPECIAL :dude::dude:

Ok... I was wrong -- my car (& me) weighs only 1100 lbs more than yours -- let's see... divided by maybe 55 more horsepower, hmmm, still no good!
My best excuse still remains... lack of available AutoX talent! (and gigantic amounts of understeer). But I will be there -- comic relief is one of my goals.

Hey Steve,
I trust your trip to LeMans was enjoyable. Haven't been there since the late 80's -- but remember it was a blast. Can you post an updated standing before the next event? I believe the concensus I heard, was that you should get -10pts for the event you attended!

Who else is coming? I broke my Porsche (not unusual) so I'll be out with the Acura. I'll be competing for both FTD and UCTD (ugliest car of the day).
Nick -- I need a PAX so we can bet that $2. Lets use SCCA.....

To clarify, might have been better to say that there will be 1 session, split into 2 halfs which will be run before and after lunch rather than saying 2 sessions as that gives the impression that they can run either AM or PM only *** this is not the case*** During first part of session (starting at 10am), Group A will run while Group B Marshal for them. When group A finish, we will have 30 mins for lunch and then swap around so Groups B run whilst Group A Marshal. As such, lunch will be when Group A finishes their runs - guessing here but expect lunch to start between 11.30 and 12. I will edit original post above to add this additional info
