Wondering what requirements we have for DE cars. Is there a firm policy at RTR about running open wheel (or open wheel-like cars), such as the Ariel Atom, which is street legal?

There is a thread on this on Rennlist http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/sh...?p=3470098 and I wonder what RTR thinks.

They are great cars.... at least from what I've read about them.

We have in the past allowed open wheeled cars at our events.  With the exception of at the Glen.  The Glen prohibits the running of open wheeled cars with the  conventional cars.  Now, if you could come up with 25 or so of them we could have an open wheel run group....

I can see the Glen's point of view. These cars are so small and light that any car to car contact would be unbalanced in the extreme. But then I did see a 356 running with a Cayenne Turbo with Zone 1 PCAat the Glen and that's almost as big a mismatch.

I'll have to get out to Oregon for a test drive. There is a good Shakespeare festival in the same town.
