This doesn't really fit 100 percent into the DE Forum and while I guess it might have fit into the Social Forum as there was a very large number of RTR'ers at the event, I decided to put it here instead.

Yeah, it was wet....

Here are a few shots from the beginning... before I got cold and had to go warm up.

Smile Nice shots Mike.

I caught up with Chris K and we were watching from various points around the track. It was interesting to see the changes in braking and throtle application.

In watching from the bridge the exit of T-5, you could notice the softer initial braking application and slowed feeding of throttle through apex, then getting the car straight and beginning a more deliberate feeeding of throttle.  Drivers like Pruit, Gurney, Donahue were off line and rim shoting the corner.  Surprisingly, others (mostly GT) were on line.  More interestingly, we watched a couple of the DP car consistently splash through the same puddle at apex leading to the front straight and get very loose as a result, but the drivers mentioned above just moved left a foot, missing the water and were better settled at mid exit and exit of the corner.  Smarter, better drivers???

Any observations from those in attendance?

That photo of the SunTrust car should be hanging in a gallery - awesome how you can see a clear image of the car, and only the mist surrounding it.

Nice work Mike!

I would have loved to go see this race but had to race of my own down Broad Street in Philly.  I'll set my DVR for this weekend to catch this.

Great pix!!
