So it seems that a bunch of commoners(read non-drivers) in disgustingly oversized displays of consumerism can't take their behemoths into the corners at 60 miles per hour.

Shocker!!!  Who could have seen this coming?

Just another chapter in the dumbing-down of America.

In the test, Consumer Reports discovered that if you go into a turn at a high speed, and lift on the throttle, the truck will fishtail (not roll mind you). Imagine that . . . We call that throttle steering.

Are you kidding me.  CR says the stability managment system does not correct quick enough!  Are we now supposed to substitute an optional stability managment system for good driving.

Fine, I'll buy this SUV and use it as an awesome tow vehicle when the price drops as a result of this stupidity.

Read all the comments on the New York Times site.  All the Porsche and BMW guys are on there asking "What seems to be the problem"?  LOL

Sounds like a real witch hunt to me.

Is this phenomena restricted to passenger cars?

At one of my Lexus dealers today people are trading almost new GS 460 for the RX 350 and taking a huge loss.  So yes there will be killer deals on these.
1995 993 - Track car
1994 965 - Race car
2002 Boxster - Her car but I get to drive it
2008 Cayenne S - Her daily driver
2006 Ford F-250 crew cab diesel - Porsche Suppport Vehicle & Tow truck

Toyota/Lexus halted sales of GX460 worldwide.  Are the dealers allowed to sell a barely used GX460?  If they do, would that amount to selling something used that you won't sell when new?
