What do the tenths ratings: 6,7,8,etc. signify in the DE driver's evaluation?

My manual is in my trailer and the link on the web is dead but are you referring to the level you are driving?
Someone who is driving 10 tenths is leaving no margin for error and is driving too close to the edge of adhesion all of the time. Larry might chime in or another one of our club racers but I would think that driving 10 tenths would be reserved for racing and I'm not sure I would like to booger up my car in a club race driving 10 tenths so I could get a hat or a ribbon? As you progress in your skills, you can tend to start increasing how close you become to driving at the limits of your car. For example, a new student in the green group probably only uses about 3-4 tenths of the braking capability of their Porsche. That leave a lot of room for learning. I'm glad you are reading the manual. I re-read it 1-2 times a year to keep fresh what is stated in there. Do not be afraid to ask questions. Ask here or shoot me an email. Good luck.
