Brian,

Are you heading up?

I did sign up for the car coral and hospitality tent for PCA. It really is a great time. If you sign up for one of the festival tours, you get a few laps of the original course through the town. It is pretty cool to ride w/ a police escort through closed roads.

I've had a police escort a few times...... They had their lights and siren going but they were behind me Confusedhock: Does that count?

Anybody want to guess at what 6,200 RPM in high gear translates to Wink

it would vary by the vehicle.  In some cars, it may equate to a bouncing off of the rev-limiter.

I have been racing with SVRA for 10 years now and SP was one of our greatest party event weekends until SVRA stopped going because of the track conditions. SVRA cars are the nicest around and worth a lot of money most are original race cars from the hay days.  The Glen IS the best show around to go see the best pedigree cars from racing history. I run a 1972 Celica that Janett Guthery drove in the Trans Am series dubed the Bumble Bee and crew on 3 Gt1 Trans Am Corvettes all Ex- Greenwood Corvettes and 1 SCCA Escort Series ZR1 If you have never been to the Zippo event it is a must do if you want to see well over 300 million dollars worth of racing history. For you Porsche guys there is always about 50+ there.

Go to the SVRA site and you can see all the shots from last year.
