Those of you in the Red group know that I took a 996 Cup Car to our DE at Watkins Glen.  The car was awesome and ran flawlessly.  And what a kick to drive.

I wanted you to see what it looked like from the inside.

I can vouch for Bob's earlier post.  It's got me rethinking the whole approach to corners.  That said, Larry left me standing still!  Impressive....

Wow, An awesome demonstration of smoothness; especially in braking-throttle transitions.

Larry, Bob, in watching the video I was noticing that the entry speed at times going into the little chicane on the back straight was right around 76mph consistently and would then drop down to about 71-73mph before getting back on the juice, yet it seemed like the time spent in the chicane was getting shorter & shorter. I know that is partly due to tire temp but what else was going on in the car to make it get out of that section quicker and quicker as the session wore on?

Larry was feeling out the car, getting back on the power and being comfortable with the rotation.  Eric you did great.  As you progress the next phase is more trailing into the apex  then a little less rolling followed by harder throttle at a specific percentage of lat G's on exit.   It is all car balance and being comfortable with entry speed.

Larry, I think I finally got the line in turn one! and your speed at the heel of the boot is killing me. On second though your speed any place on the track is killing me.

Mike, I think that it was an optical illusion as the data showed that from a segment just before the braking marker to just exiting the bus stop, I ran it in roughly 11.2 seconds for the first 3 timed laps, and then 11.3 for lap 4 and 11.5 for lap 5.
