Hi guys (and ladies),

The Central region PCA is hosting their summer AX in their usual spot, the nice big lot at the Giant corporate center, next to Hershey Park.  I know, it's not on the RTR championship schedule, but I could use some more seat time.  To quote Ian...

..."Central tends to host excellent, low-key, friendly events on the the largest single paved area in the state of Pennsylvania which are perfect for newbies and experts alike.

Schedule of the event:
We run rain or shine.
6:30: Early arrival – setup begins.
7:30: Normal arrival time.
8:00 – 9:00 Registration and Tech
8:00 – 9:15 Course open for walking
9:15 Driver’s meeting. Course closed for walking.
9:30: First car off
~1:00 pm – Competition finishes. Cleanup followed by trophy presentations.

Required equipment: [/b]Seat belts. Battery tied down. Car empty of loose articles. No major leaks plus you will need a Helmet which must be rated Snell 95 rated or newer, "M" or "SA".

Competition CLASSES:  Pick the correct class for the car you have.  They are located on the CPA Autocross page and the Motorsportsreg.com sign up page.
Directions:[/b] (see caravan option below) - aim for the Giant centre on route 39 - Directions to Hershey Giant Center: 100 W Hersheypark Dr, Hershey, PA. 717-534-3911 – pls click on link --
http://www.hersheypa.com/events/giant_ce...tions.html

Registration: - event is limited to 60 cars (ish) so if interested please register early online using the CPA website. Follow this link: http://cpa-pca.org/autocross/index.html

Price [/b]- $35 for PCA members / $45 non-PCA members, paid via website below using PAYPAL

Parking[/b] - all try to park together when we get there..."

Since I'm coming from Allentown I won't be circling down to caravan, but if enough Philly area guys are going maybe we can work out a meeting point.  Hope to see you guys and girls there!

By the way, Ian & Vee, if I'm stepping on any toes I apologize, but I didn't want to just register and have fun without mentioning it to the group.Cool

Hey, I might make it ....... it will be the weekend before the next LeMons race, and my car needs the exercise. Should we meet at the usual pa turnpike stop?
If anyone likes, I'll coach, but you have to ask.Big Grin

Chuck,

Great idea to include the RTR group in your extra fun/seat time.  I will be at Summit Point that weekend driving a Miata so will not be able to join you.  But I will be at Citizen Bank Park the following weekend (6/19).

Thanks for sharing

Great racing on Sunday, the folks at the CPA region always host a nice event.  I have to mention, however, that the RTR's own Nick "Betech"  took first place in his class, with a blistering 55.072, nearly 4/10th of a second ahead of the next car.  The top time overall of the day was less than 1 3/10 of a second faster, so that old carrera was really flying.  Nice work Nick!

Chuck,

Excellent job posting a 60.659 on your last run. You smoked me. Although you were in G class, you would have placed second in E class. I watched your last run and you were drifting. Cool.
