I am new to the Bucks County area, I was wondering if anyone has had experience with Holberts' service department?

Previously I have used Brandywine Porsche with great success but it is 1 hour away from my new home?

I would warn everyone that my experience at Winner Porsche in Newark Delaware was NOT GOOD.

Please let me know if anyone has had good experience at Holberts (or Flemington Porsche in NJ for that matter).  I have some electrical problems with my headlights and climate controlls.

I've used Holbert's service department for my 996 without incident.  They did a good job and even hand-washed the car.  Make sure that you ask about a PCA discount.

Holbert's is my choice.  They take care of my Cayenne and 996.  I have been very happy with their work.

Have either of you ever asked them to do some hard diagnostic work?   Or has it been mostly routine service/warrenty work?

My car always goes to Holberts.

Be aware of their desire to up-sell (like any other dealer, but way more expensive)

Question them on everything and they'll look after you. Great service and they care about doing a good job.

As a rule I try not to go into a dealer blind for diagnostic work - best to go in with an educated idea of what could be going wrong - otherwise it can get expensive quickly.

I know it's not convenient to you, but I cannot resist noting that Brandywine, where I ordered my car, has been first rate in sales and service. If it's not too far for you (and it's a good 45 mintues from my house), I recommend it highly. I have had regular checkup and warranty work done at Brandywine.

I'm not a huge fan of Brandywine. Kevin is the top wrench there but he usually only tackles the more technical jobs. If he works on your car, your in good hands. If not, buyer beware.

Just joined my first forum (had to be porsche) so I hope I am doing this right.  My car used to get serviced at Holbert's (before I took over possession).  Seeing as how I am not very techical and try to learn as much has possible about my car, I have been taking it to Galbraith  Motors in Devon.  Its a small shop but they let me into the garage to observe the work on my actual car (not to mention taking a peek at the other cars being worked on).

As with any service shop there are times when I feel that "up-selling" is an issue.  I try to question them whenever possible, but my limited expertise makes it difficult.  It hardly ever happens, but I am always cautious (read paranoid).

Are there other shops out there that give you more personal service?  How about Tillson?  Also, since I live in the city and my car lives in Blue Bell, getting either a loaner car from the shop or a ride to drop off and pick up is very difficult.  Any suggestions?
