A classic case where some DE events could have prevented this mishap.

As much of a fan of DE as I am, I doubt it would have helped much as it has been reported that he was suspected to be loaded and doing 100+ MPH.
Maybe a little CSE (Common Sense Education) could have gone a long way? All in all a very sad situation.

Ryan Dunn was a DE participant.
I believe he drove in both BMW and Porsche Club Events. Earlier this year, he ran at T-bolt with SCH. Seemed like a nice guy when I introduced myself after the Driver's Meeting. This was alcohol related; driver skill/experience had nothing to do with it.

But how will the Art World deal with the loss of such an important artist?

As of today the police have reported, after the crash reconstruction was done, that he was going in excess of 130MPH. Tox reports will be back next week but we all know what they will say. He was shit faced and barbaqued

Damn that was fast his tox report is back. Now they are saying he may have been going 140+. I did not think a Porsche went that fast.
The report said Dunn's blood-alcohol level was 0.196 at the time of the crash early Monday morning. The legal limit for drivers in the state is .08.

No sympathy for the driver. He and Bam are(were) useless idiots.
The passenger, on the other hand, was a Navy Seal, just back from Iraq. He was just married. So he survives the hell in Iraq, only to be killed back home by a moron. Just so unfair. He deserved better than that.

He was a true Jackass and is now rotting in hell for murder. I have no sympathy for an asshole that drives drunk and has a history of it. He was nothing but a looser reality show freak with nothing good to offer society but a toy truck stuffed up his ass. Live like an asshole, die like one.
The real sad part is the war vet that he murdered.

I am glad you concur. Seems like everyone else out there is treating this dead jackass like he is some sort of folk legend.
