I saw a Guards Red fender poking out from behind a hedge on Youngsford Road in Gladwyne tonight.  It looked like a 3.2 cab in my rearview so I swung around for you.  Turned out to be an '82 SC Targa with a tail.  84,000 miles asking $14,500.  Guards Red respray in OK condition, Cup II's (says they are OEM), and white face gauges that don't look OEM to me.   Altogether it did not seem right to me, but thought I would mention it anyway.  If you want the phone number let me know.

If you are looking for a clean 3.2 Cab, John Witmer at AIC Auto in Quarryville and Tim Holt in West Chester usually have quality inventory of that vintage.  I know John is great to talk to and an active PCA guy in Central PA.  I don't know Tim Personally but I hear good things about him too.  Both are showing 3.2 Cab's in stock.

Good luck, and post a pic of whatever you eventually choose!

Cool Mark

What price range are you looking for? I have a customer that has a 1986 Red convertable with 63,500 miles in spectacular condition. He is trying to trade it in on one of our 2004's, but we haven't been able to agree on a trade in value. I think $25k would get the deal done...

Here is how he describes the car:

All original vehicle with some minor stone chips on the front/hood from normal wear. I purchase it in 2007 and it was completely gone over by Speciality Cars in Allentown, PA. I purchased it with 59,500 miles. The tires/brakes were last changed When I purchased it in 2007, Mark went over the car and put on new brakes, new tires, new floor mats, and a new windshield, amoung other things.

They specialize in Porsche repair/restoration. Mark Burkit, the owner has serviced the car since purchase and it has been serviced on a yearly basis, the last service being in December 2011. I have all of the service records.

If you're interested, I can make some calls and see what we can do.
