Gurus,

Picked up the car today from Dougherty's (again) and I noticed the shifter feels a little "sticky" esp moving from the neutral position in neutral (the 3rd-4th resting place) and moving left into the 1st and 2nd neutral place. There also seems to be a slight squeaking noise.

After rebuild, we switched to semi-solid motor mounts.

Is this a shift linkage issue?

Not enough k-y jelly issue?

Loose tranny or engine mount?

I'm brining the car back anyway for track prep and want this resolved also.

Any thoughts?

did it loosen up any after driving it?  It could be due to the great weather that we've been having.  How is the engine?

Any idears Mike?

The motor w/new ecu is working wonderfully. I really tested it over the w/e. We will check the mixtures next week and see if we are ready to go from street to track. The shifter item is new. Car is back @ Bill's. I hope it is not another tranny issue.

Tony, it sounds like a bushing for the shift rod need a little lube.  The side to side motion twists the shift rod and that may be more noticable than fore/aft binding.

Thanks Larry - Let's hope. The motor is very strong and we are just fine tuning now.

The problem was Red Line tranny oil does NOT work well in sub-zero temps. We switched to Mobil Synthetic for now and will switch back after the April event.
