Hello RTR,

I have a 1990 964 C4 Cabriolet and am in desperate need of a mechanic. I live in Center City, Philly, but can travel to the suburbs as well. Any mechanic recommendations would be appreciated.

I have ABS warning lights on and need someone for routine maintenance as well. I have been taking it to Don Rosen but last time an oil change was over $300, how ridiculous! And they didn't bother to say anything about the warning lights or what was necessary.

Thanks, Jeff

Hi Jeff,  Two shops you may want to consider are Tilson's Motor Cars on 63rd St. near City Line and Woodlawn Automotive on Chelten Ave near Wissahickon.  Both are within walking distance to the train.

Tillson and Woodlawn are both very reputable shops.

Also, there is J & J in Bryn Mawr, Performance Auto in Malvern, and Possum Hollow, just outside of Phoenixville.

My advice is to talk to a few shops and see who you get along with. But all of the shops mentioned in this thread are reputable. It is up to you to find your match.

Good luck. Smile
