2013 Autocross Rankings

Hail all Autocross fanatics.

Here are the proposed rating systems as discussed at our recent off-site.

First, let us discuss the systems. I listed 5 options:

Top 5: I just took a straight forward 5/4/3/2/1 approach.

Top 10: This is the first system discussed with 10 for first, etcetera.

Top 21: This is the second system discussed with 21 for first, etcetera..

+1: I added a point for all race participants to top 10/21.

Here are the actual points allocated to each finish. A “0” Finish means you did not race.

So, what is the impact? Here are the rankings for last year and each ranking:

Review and vote quickly. I would like to decide this week so we can issue results from Hershey.

Dave great work, thanks for doing this.
One question: The second Table, "Overall impact" was this based on the raw times Ranking, or the PPF times Ranking?

The ranking is based on the last PPF Jonathan had posted on the forum. It may not be the final, but I am just using it to show the impact of the different rating systems.

I just voted. 10+1 for me...

Results are in and those who had an opinion voted. Based on input, we decided on 10+1 modified to 2 points for participating in a race. The points system will be as follows:

1st Place: 12 points

2nd Place: 10 points

3rd Place: 9 points

4th Place: 8 points

5th Place: 7 points

6th Place: 6 points

7th Place: 5 points

8th Place: 4 points

9th Place: 3 points

Other Racers: 2 points

We are revising the handicap for each car. I will post official race 1 results as soon as we finish.
