Watkins Glen Convoy

With the Glen just over two weeks away, I thought it's not too early to start a conversation on convoying up on Thursday the 25th to drop cars off.

Past excursions have met at the Allentown Tpk rest area (south of the Allentown interchange) around 1:30 and departed at approx. 2:00.

So far Sunny Waters and myself will be there.

Sounds good! For those of us living in the Lehigh Valley, there is a safe place to pull over just before the Lehigh Tunnel, around mile marker 70. Slow down as you all approach, and we can connect with the caravan quickly and safely.

Anyone heading up to the Glen on Friday after work? I land in Newark at 12:30pm and could be in Allentown by around 2:30pm for sure. Looking to possibly hitch a ride up to the Glen with anyone I know that might be going that way.

Looks like we have a convoy.

The Service Plaza is a great place to meet up. For those to the north of there however, is anyone interested in taking Jim's suggestion and gathering near the LV tunnel?

FYI, I drove up the Northeast TP Extension today to Clark Summit to look at some German Shepherd pups. There is quite a bit of construction going on with some single lane sections. Might want to add a little more time.
