Twas the night before Christmas, when Marty’s smart phone did beep,
It was good old St. Nick, said he was in trouble deep!
“My lap times are slow, and I’ve checked them twice,
I can’t make every house, I need your help and advise!
Brian and Steve were called; they were on the way,
“We’ll have your lap times down by the end of the day!”
Each took a ride, and gave Santa their tips,
Then had a short meeting, and this came from their lips,
“He’s turning in early; he’s pinching his exits,
He’s rough on the reins, His missing apexes,
He’s starting in too fast, and out way too slow,
He’s is getting better, but he’s a long way to go.”
Then Myles grabbed the reins and demo’d a lap,
Santa was impressed, but that sleigh drove like crap,
So Rick called CJ Tire and soon a package did arrive,
32 boots, perfect for the to reindeer thrive.
With R-compound rubber and mud and snow tread,
Those shoes stuck like glue, and so did the sled!
Santa’s back on the track with Steve by his side,
Practicing, practicing, that sled started to glide!
Now many Instructors lined the pit wall with fascinated stare,
Each waiting for their unique teaching to share,
The sleigh would come in, and the sleigh would go out,
Each lap getting better, of that there’s no doubt!
And now as evening begins to arrive,
Everyone is convinced that Santa can drive!
Santa knows he learned how to drive today,
And credits it all to the RTR way!
And Santa said with a wink and a nod,
Thanks to all of you, now I can finish my job!
He sprang to his sleigh, and gave his team a whistle,
And away they all flew, like the down of a thistle,
I heard him exclaim, as he drove out of sight,
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good RTR night!
