Why bother with jefferson? Shenandoah is a much more fun track.

I agree with you Nick (I was promoted at Shenandoah twice!) and thanks for your support. With the whole new section at Jefferson, I'm sure even for just a day it would have been nice to try out. Unfortunately, BMW has a lock on Jefferson that weekend and was unwilling to share.

I have recently been checked into the black run group by the Potomoc region. Will this be recognized by Riesentoter?

Out of region promotions for advanced level run groups (white, black, red) still require a checkout ride and 2nd opinion for RTR. So, not knowing who you are, and not knowing your driving history, that is how we handle all advanced level out of region promotions.
Thanks, Marty

Jack Ruse posted this 04-03-2007:

Promotion from White to Black - required skills
Exceptional track awareness
Exceptionally smooth inputs
Demonstrates patience, can control ego
Anticipates vs. reacts
Calmly deals with wide variety closing speeds
Readily adapts to new & changing conditions
Drives at appropriate pace for Black group
Comfortable in close to race conditions
Promotion from White to Black - other criteria
Must be able to keep pace in Black
Typically a minimum of a season’s worth (16 - 20 days) of experience in White
Believe student has capability to be an instructor
Must complete check out ride in Black with designated check out instructor
Steps to achieve consistency[indent]Criteria made public
Out of Region instructors require 2nd opinion from RTR instructors for all graduations
Promotion from White to Black
Any RTR instructor can initiate
2nd opinion from designation check-out instructor required

This looks like a complete list and should still hold today, especially considering the author. I guess the only thing I could add is your speed in picking up a bar tab.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Hey Big Foot!
How did you ever get the "Broken Crankshaft Award"? I rode with you early in your driving career, and I thought you should take up electric spot car racing.

I did take up slot car racing, but I kept getting black flagged. Very embarrassing when the other drivers are all twelve year old kids.
