Mobil 1 0w-40 for 993?

I am about to change the oil in my 993 prior to leaving for The Glen. I have a supply of 0w-40 Mobil 1 "European Car Formula." Would it be a mistake to use that, or should I use instead something else, e.g., 15w-50?
