I took off work today to do a number of things that I would normally do on the weekend but because I'll be at Shenandoah I needed the extra day this weekend. One of the things that I had to do today was go to Maryland Emissions for the Carrera. I was a little worried about passing since I have a pre-muffler on the car as well as a Bursch muffler and I didn't know if it would go through. So before I got there I did what I normally would do for my clients in their older Mercedes diesel cars to pass and I basically ran the piss out of the car to get the pipes nice and hot. After about an hour of driving at highway speeds in 3rd gear I got to the inspection station. I pulled up when it was my turn and I handed my slip to the inspector. After several mins of talking with the supervisor they go get the measuring tape. I had no idea what they were doing but I went along with it. They started measuring the clearance of the undercarriage of my 911. As it turns out my car was so low to the ground that it would not go onto the treadmill for the test to be performed. Result, automatic pass on the emissions test. To top it off, I didn't even have to pay the $14 for going to have the emissions test.

Looks like it's going to be a good weekend!!

Let's hope that your luck holds up with the weather this weekend! See you at the track!
