Funny.... A little bumpy but I'll keep that in mind if I don't have an instructor with me.

Faster line up the esses?  What esses?  I didn't see any esses - looks like a straight to me Big Grin

This definitely falls into the "do as I say, not as I do" category!

Darren said the corner work would call in every lap:  " We have car  4 wheels off, but under control, he did that last lap too.  I think someone should talk to him. "

Jack , is Todd signed up for Shenandoah? He could teach the advanced class on avoided the Karussel by using the grass. ...Confusedhock:

Todd's an amazing driver.  He did that race on street tires!

However, I don't think Todd's the only person to use that line.  The grass is totally gone in that section of the track, so I think that's a reasonably common practice for folks who can get away with it from a car setup standpoint.

Don't think I could get away with it - I'd rip my front splitter off.

This demostrates some of the differences between racing & DE.  There's no reason to do that in a DE. There's no reason to risk breaking your car  because there's nothing at stake.   Most of us do not view our cars as dispensible.  Most of us treat our cars like expensive jewelry, while folks in NASA and SCCA treat their cars as a tool used to accomplish an objective.  The objective has value, the tool has none.

PCA Club racing is a bit different as most folks think the tool has value as well Smile

I watched that video and hit rewind a few times.  I absolutely could not do that in a 993.  You would never make turn in before Southbend (spin or heavy brakes).  Not enough weight up front.  I also think he is going around 110 to 115 through there.  My car data reads much higher because of higher entry speed under the bridge.  Interesting how different cars can exploit the tracks secretes.   Todd is a madman!

BTW, sent you a lead on a G50 if your still needing to do that.

Some good shots of Todd's car from another one of my friends cars in the race.  Just to give you an idea of pace they are putting down lap times in these little cars that are faster than all but the fastest in our Black group an probably one third to a half of the Red run group.  The jelly bean looking red Nissan NX is being driven by Greg Amy last years SCCA National Champion in his class.  You can see when Todd is in the grass GA is on him like glue.  It explains what looked to be a defensive line by Todd which I didn't understand until I saw Eric's video.  Eric is in an NA powered Nissan Sentra SE-R.

It's the last video on his video page.  Right click and save.

Those times for those car are good but they are slower then Black/Red RTR times. Big Grin Ask, Bob and Tom - they are in the 2:12 range.
