The purpose of this tread is for every member of this forum to pick a person they would like to be.  This person can be current or historic, famous or obscure, male or female.  The poster may state their reason(s) for their choice if they wish.

I'll begin:

Hugh Hefner.  His life and lifestyle is quite different than mine, and... do I have to state any other obvious reason?
friend   /frɛnd/
–noun
1. a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard.
2. a person who gives assistance; patron; supporter: friends of the Boston Symphony.
3. a person who is on good terms with another; a perso

It would be an interesting change.

Better than Heff--Bond, James, Bond.   The character not the ornithologist.   If characters aren't permitted under the rules, I'll go with Sean Connery.

Didn't he die of some horrible cancer that was mistreated in Mexico? Yeah I agree he was the man, though I'd rather pick someone alive.

At least someone like say Paul Newman, his first professional race was at age 47, and he was still racing as of a couple of years ago in his 80's. If he can do it there is still hope for the rest of us....though he was rich at the time....
