If there is one issue that really gets folks going, it is the "Debate of the Tail".

Personally, I think that the addition of a tail really ruins the lines of the 911s, but the track folk swear by them.

There is no real right answer, but it is so funny how people are either totally for them, or totally against them.

Classic fender flares with whale tail.  Nothing says beauty and muscle at the same time so well. Lets recognize that that style came out in 1975 so lets not pretend its not classic! This coming from a former owner of same.Sad

I think having a tastefull spoiler really doesn't hurt look at these examples.. Not only do you look cool but you also look fast standing still!

To each, their own...

I agree with Aaron, the whale tail doesn't look bad on a car that has the fender flares. But without the fender flares, the classic Porsche lines look great on their own. Heck, even with the fender flares, the whale tail isn't necessary for the car to look good - the 89 Speedster is a perfect example.

The silhouette that Porsche uses on garments, etc doesn't have a tail.  Could that be the official word?:?
