Autocross
au·to·cross (ô'to-krôs', -kros') n. - A form of motor sport that emphasizes safe, low-cost competition and active participation. An autocross is a timed competition where drivers navigate one at a time through a temporary course marked by traffic cones. Autocross tends to place more emphasis on car handling and driver skill than on sheer horsepower
If you are not sure if autocross (AX) is for you, then check out the videos below – there is no safer, cheaper or more fun way to meet fellow RTR Porsche enthusiasts and learn to drive your Porsche at its limits.
If you liked the video, come and join us at one of our PCA Riesentöter Autocross events and you can be part of the action very easily without any additional expense or special equipment for your car.
The Autocross Cup Series operates from April to October. There are typically eight scheduled events for the cup. Local PCA Regions and SCCA Solo organizations run the events. Riesentöter will typically present one Autocross charity event each year.
Each month, information and entry instructions on our events will be posted on the RTR website discussion forum which can be found at: Autocross Forum.
When you arrive at an Autocross event
The Autocross course will be setup on a large parking lot. Soft traffic pylons will be used to form a course consisting of turns, slaloms, and straight areas.
- Remove all loose items from your car
- Register yourself. Many events will have preregistration on www.motorsportreg.com
- Drive your car to Technical (Safety) Inspection
- Walk the Autocross Course at least twice. There will also be a Novice course walk.
- Attend the Driver's Meeting
It’s that simple, now you are ready to compete against the clock and your fellow PCA members

2026 Autocross Schedule
Start your engines!
For 2026, Riesentöter is once again joining forces with the Central PA and Northern NJ Regions of the Porsche Club of America to bring you the ultimate, five-event autocross series at one of the best venues around: Pocono Raceway. For our July event, we are kicking things up a notch with an all-new 2-day Zone Challenge format (you can race one or both days).
And, back by extremely popular demand will be our RTR Car Control Clinic at the Temple-Ambler Campus. This is geared toward those who are new to high-performance driving and will focus on imparting RTR members with essential car control techniques in a fun, low-pressure setting, while giving them a taste of RTR's many opportunities for high performance driving and more advanced instruction.
Mark your calendar now, because these are not events to miss. Autocross at Pocono is an autocrosser's dream. You will be weaving through the turns of the Pocono South/East Infield Course (an actual race track!) while navigating stretches of slaloms, chicanes, and other cone obstacles that are nearly as long as the grin that will be on your face. These are efficiently run events that usually result in a run count that meaningfully exceeds that of a typical autocross event. You all bought those exciting cars to experience their exhilarating performance. This is the best place to discover the potential and feel of your beautiful Porsche in a controlled environment with no chance of getting that dreaded ticket.
