I've not been over every inch of my car yet ('93 964) to know any better, so I've been dragging a full set of English-sized tools to each event.  Is that really necessary?

If you do not have a trailer, you don't need many tools. I don't have one, and I just bring the few bits I plan on using. The wrenches I need to change the camera mount, an electric impact wrench and torque wrench for wheels and the like. If my brake pads are low I bring the wrench for that. Sometimes I'll bring a aluminum floor jack, but generally those all the tools I have ever needed I can borrow easily.

At the Glen I had a Hoosier unseat from the wheel. The compressor was not powerful enough to seat it, so I a couple of passersby helped me squeeze the tire to seat the rim. Then I had a valve stem loosen. Another passerby loaned me the valve stem tool (and now I have one in my box!).

The track is a refuge of caring and sharing. Where else would you leave your key in the car, your EZPass out, your video camera and laptop lying around and your GPS on the pile without a second thought? I have read that not all tracks are like that, but we are good in the NE.

If I do move to a trailer, though, I'll bring the kitchen sink, and you'll be welcome to borrow it.

Your first DE and it is Wakins Glen.  You are brave.  Great track...stay away from the armco.

Welcome to the fun!!!  What are you driving?

If I can finish-up a few loose maintenance odd-and-ends, a 951.
