As I said previously, deleting posts is not something done lightly, but when it has to be done, it gets done. This is not a free-for-all and sometimes things have to be guided - that's why we have moderators and admins.
In the time the forum has been open Brian and I have deleted very few posts - this thread was my first and Brian has deleted some inappropriate photos from the random photo thread. We did not take those steps lightly and discussion always occurs in the background. It's not about censorship, it's about correcting the course when things get carried away and need bringing back to the standards of behavior that we expect from people that we all know and have to interact with on a regular basis.
We all mostly get along, but when things get to a place where Chris is dancing with glee because people are coming close to blows, then a time-out has to be called - afterall, we all have to look eachother in the eyes when we meet at meetings, this is not about bad blood on a forum, it's about being able to play nice when we meet each other next at an event.
That being said, I think that this horse has been beaten to a pulp and it's time that we all kissed, made up and moved on.

Personally, I would love to have a nasty old free-for-all, but I'll hold back.
Oh, and if you are free this Saturday(as well as any RTR folks) there is a motorcycle version of Super-Tech at a bike shop in Bridgeport called "Everything But The Bike". It starts at 10:30. I really want to et a bike out on the track.
