I plan to purchase an in-car communicator this year.  I believe Chatterbox has the market cornered in this area.  However, I thought I would post a new topic to see if anyone knows of any other solutions to consider, or things I should look out for.

If a Chatterbox is it, does anyone have any experience with their various product offerings?  For example, I don't know if a wireless set up is reliable and/or worth the extra cost.  I definitely want to get something that I can use when riding "two-up" on my motorcycle as well.

This is one (of many) web sites have I found to purchase Chatterbox products:  http://www.motorcycleonlinestore.com/chatterbox

Thanks in advance for your input!

I do not know about the wireless version but the nice thing about chatterbox is that if you forget your charger or student ear/mouth piece, there are 40 more of them in the paddock to borrow.

James,

Most of us have the standard Chatterbox setup.  I have the full face headset permanently installed in my helmet and I give my student the open face to slide in his/her helment.

Qaulity is OK.  Much better than the Nady I had previously.

I purchased mine from Stable Energies.

James,

OG @ Summit always has some in stock. You could pick one up the w/e of the Shenandoah event.

Vendor night @ Dougherty's - I'm sure the will be available there.

Good idea Tony.  Dougherty's definitely carries them - I've purchased replacement parts from them.  Better to support someone that does so much for our track program!

Take care,
Jack

CDOC has had their reps at this meeting for the last few years.  If Bill doesn't have any in stock, I'm sure that they can bring one with them.

+1 on supporting those who support us!
