Are you sure your "dog" wasn't just you with a hammer in a fit of rage???  I know dogs eat homework -- they eat race videos too???  Fixing it is a question for Bob I believe, he is the resident audio/video expert.

Ive only been that mad once ever... and that was when a CMC Camaro driver did not look in his mirrors, cut off the lead car in front of me, and eventually resulting in me burying myself into the tirewall at the end of the back straight at VIR. :X

Bob: Can it be fixed? I know back in the day I used to swap reels w/ VCR tapes, but the casings on those are much easier to disassemble. These miniDV tapes seem to be molded together. Another odd thing was that when I first tried to replay it, it said something like "not compatible". The camera I borrowed at the track was some Canon HD model. Would a tape recorded on a HD miniDV cam not work on a standard miniDV?

Yes,  .  If you sacrifice another blank tape, it can be spliced and installed in a new housing.  I ran a audio/video repair company for a couple of years that serviced 300 retail stores.  We would fix anything including tapes.  If the Canon was set to "HD mode" it needs to be converted to SD format.  One option is to bring the tape to Summit and I can fix it, upload it into my Sony HD editor and make a widescreen copy for you on DVD. You could send it to me ahead of time, but I am not sure I could get it done before the event.  Considering how low the sun sets this time of year, I may bring an HD projector/screen and people can bring the years videos for showing during the beer hour after the track closes.  Could be fun to watch the year in review.

So what happened at hyperfest sat SP race?  It looked like you had the other Bimmer, but he was blocking a bit.  Very similar line to the 911's, but we can stay lower in the carousel and get more rotation.

He had 40 more rwhp than me Wink Id get him everywhere but the straights. Sad He is a NASA-NE guy so maybe you may have raced with him before? Phil Eiseman is his name and he heads NASA-NE.
