Please don't merge Green and Blue.  Blue is just starting to get it together, but does not yet have the experience necessary to stay out of trouble with raw Green recruits

Usually, run groups are only combined if the #'s of cars is safe. If the green student is that raw, the instructor should still be in the car - watching mirrors and providing the track vision and communicating info to the green driver.

Combined sessions can provide an enormous amout of benefit to the upper and the lower run group drivers. Everything is based on the level of maturity and respect for speed that the driver (and/or instructor) has for the track.

I've driven with only three regions and I have to say RTR is the best show in town - any town!

I realize no-one is questioning the instruction or organizers so I'll throw in my 0.02.

Five run groups per day gives everyone seat time & students get the coaching they (we) need. We've been fortunate enough lately that not too many instructors are getting doubled up with two students, so they get seat time, coaching time & social time. 

At different stages of my development I have both hated and loved combined run groups.  Early, while in Green and solo'd, is was a bit intimidating to go out with the Blue group.  There were more cars and they were FAST.  Later it was just solo'd driving with more cars.  Later still, while solo'd in Blue, it was cool to be in a 944NA and  get a point by from a newbie Green driver in a 996.  Made me think that maybe I had learned a little bit about driving. 

I know we all want more seat time.  While being a Green and a Blue student, I drove with other regions.  It's the best way to get seat time, schedule yourself more track days.  I'm hopeful that my promotion to White opens up more track days at more tracks because I won't need a full-time instructor assigned.   I know that being in White doesn't mean I don't want/need instruction - H3LL I had four different instructors during my last three track days!   

I also know I will take advantage of the "Advanced Only" days offered by RTR. 

Lastly, thanks to the RTR DE program, I am confident that the teaching I have received has prepared me to continue to be a "safe & courteous" driver while I continue to pursue my passion, learning to drive my Porsche :-)
