Go out for a ride on Sat. after the salt has been washed away by Friday's rain and then replace the AC blower.  By the time I'm done, I should have the entire system replaced!

I started to replace the ac blower and ended up removing the wrong blower on my carrera.  Be careful.

Thanks for the heads up.  My AC blower motor started making loud noises last summer.  Had to buy a replacement including the fan portion.  While I'm in there, I should service or replace the evaporator coil.  My compressor is leaking around the shaft seal.  Requires  a new compressor or a rebuild.  Might as well replace the hoses too.  Any comments on R12 vs. R134?

Since you have to go through all that, why not just put you car on a diet and take it all out!  Big Grin

Removing the whole AC system has crossed my mind, but I spend more time on the street than the track.  While it's nice to drive with the sunroof open, sometimes it's just too hot.   It's nice to be comfortable (a relative term with Porsche AC) in the summer.

Pulling the front bumper to clean out the accumulated detritus, straighten the fins on the coolers and install the sreen I should have had there in the first place. Then I'm upgrading the software in the data acquisition system and setting up a second configuration file so it can move back and forth between the Porsche and the Miata easily.
