Hummer H3 is a 5 cylinder about 240 hp, and way smaller than my retired Durango believe it or not.

Had a truck with the same engine as the Durango and mileage was pretty dissapointing, how is the fuel mileage on the H3?  BTW, taking the train or bus is certainly making a difference, just hope big oil starts to feel some of their own pinch.

On the highway, I get over 20 if I stay at about 65 mph.  City milage sucks.  I only have 9K miles on it in over 14 months, including a 2000 mile road trip in November.

DRIVING
Your Car: Politics on Wheels

By JOHN TIERNEY

It has always been tempting to think you can figure out who a person is and what he thinks by what he drives.

Since you brought up bumper stickers:

Quote:[b]Bumper stickers linked to road rage

By DREW MIKKELSEN / KING 5 News KING5
LACEY, Wash. - A new study suggests car owners who have bumper stickers are more aggressive, angry drivers.
According to the study, motorists who decorate their vehicles are 15 percent more likely have a fit of road rage....

Now what is that comment meant to imply? If you don't like the "Off Topic" section, then just stick to the DE section and don't scroll down.

There are many differing viewpoints on this forum, and I don't think it is really cool to be having a "Beat up on David Fest". His views may be different, maybe even sometimes inflamatory, but until this thread turned ugly, we always had some good debates. See guys, David participates in a constructive manner.

So let me reiterate. Don't come to Off Topic if you are easily offended.

Sheesh, like High School all over again.

There is a reason this place is called Off-Topic.

As long as the discussion doesn't break forum rules, or turn personal, then pretty much any topic is fair game.

If you disagree with something that is said, then feel free to comment and issue a rebuttal. Remember, opinions are like farts - everyone has them and in the end they're a lot of hot air, not a lot of substance, and do little positive to the environment. Comments are good when backed up with supporting data.

Nah, we're all full of hot air. It feels good to release it.

You're all full of gas. Wink

I wasn't picking on David specifically, I was just saying that talk for the sake of talk can be fun (like farting), but ultimately doesn't acheive much (improve the environment)  and doesn't convince that many people that you're right unless you put some substance into it... call it a chunky fart.  Big Grin
