That is true - it could happen in any car... although not many cars do 0-60mph in 4 seconds and 60-100mph in a few seconds after that. There is a lot to be said for that dynamic.

...plus studies have shown that people are more aggressive in driving a "capable' sports car than a sedan.

[Edited by Wellardmac: The image link I originally posted has now expired. Unlike the original link, clicking on the link below will take you directly to the pictures, rather than a further warning and other links - not not click on this link and complain that you were not warned]

never mind- found it: http://www.barbecuestopper.com/forum/f10...pics-1248/

you're right - NASTY

let's hope parents teach common sense and make the kids aware of the physics involved in crashes by exposing them to pics like this.  I still remember the first day of drivers ed class at High School and they spent the first half of the class showing pix like these.  That definitely has a way of making an impression.

A buddy of mine who I used to autocross with back in Wilkes Barre sent me this story as well.  I didn't realize that there was a discussion going on here as well.(slow day at work today)

I am amazed at how a lot of you folks reacted.  The girl was STUPID!  Any way you cut it.  Basically, we all get mad at one point or another.  But, we don't crawl into a car and put others at risk.  There is an old saying that goes: "Your right to swing your fist stops where my nose begins...".
