Where are the mandatory rules posted for using jack stands, etc.?

What year/model? Rule of thumb would be 'some place that will not collapse if it took the weight, or punch a hole through the surface, or flex/slide, or damage anything' =)

What happens when someone pulls the air hose to use an air gun with it while someone is under the car?........ I don't know Jack about air jacks.hock:

Even Worse:  What if someone notices that there is an attorney under the car and cuts the hose on purpose?
