Steve, Felker is pretty dang fast already - - don't encourage him!

I really hope there is some semblance of compromise and resolution on this issue. Chris was right about the path forward.

Really, we aren't curing cancer here... let's put the egos away and come up with a solution. Either way Steve and I would be willing to help.

Steve, per our telephone conversation a couple of weekends ago, I do not want to be divisive but I see this event as a positive for the club and for our community.

While some of your posts may have lacked tact, the unified statement by board of is even more contentious nature and troublesome to me.

I am in and pledge my support. Please let me know how I can help fund raise, organize, and get word out to attendees from the Lehigh Valley.

I was pleased to be notified of the relocation of you forum as I it enabled me to check on a 2013 PNP event. I thoroughly enjoyed the previous events and was disappointed with the absence of the 2012 event. If you can put all your differences aside and decide to organize an autocross at Millenium I will, once again, do what I can to promote and recruit local entries.

It appears that the Porsches and Planes event has been resurrected but with a new name and a new venue (see the RTR calendar for August). It will now be Porsches for Pediatrics AX to be hosted at Coca Cola Park in Allentown on August 4th, 2013 to benefit the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley (PCFLV). We are hoping to follow the format already set up with PnP - AX, show & shine, lunch provided & cocktail hour. The change of venue seems to make sense so that the venue is in the same region as the benefiting charity.

The big question here is: for those of you who offered help earlier to provide trophies, setup and run, get sponsors for the PnP event; are you still willing to chip in, help and or setup this event? I certainly hope the offers still stand and that we can get a committee of people together to get this going again. The RTR Board is behind this 100% and I am willing to be the point person to get it organized.

As stated in my previous post, the cause and fundraising is for a very worthy charity in PCFLV (http://pcflv.org). Please PM me or simply reply to this post that you are in fact still willing to help.

Best Regards,
Brian

I will do what I can to promote and recruit entries. I do outside sales in the Auto Parts field in the Reading area and can post fliers, whatever. Just let me know.

I'm still in for the Trophies. It should be mentioned that Mark Burkit's Specialty Cars Service Center is only two or three blocks away from Coca-Cola Park. They've always been enthusiastic sponsors of our AX series, and Mark runs a hell of a good shop.

Specialty Cars has already verbally committed to being a sponsor and a vendor. They were the 1st ones I asked since they are so close to the venue. Thanks Chuck for doing the awards.

Mark your calendars, Coca Cola Park in Allentown is the officially venue for the Porsches for Pediatrics Autocross to be held on August 4, 2013. Keep a look out on this forum for updates. Thanks to all of you who already responded back to helping out and volunteering to make this happen.

I wanted to post on this thread, since we opened registration for the Porsches for Pediatrics 2 weeks ago or so we have not had much response or people sign up. As of this morning we still only have 13 signed up.

Please spread the word and let people know about it, otherwise there might not be an AX. It's only a little over a month away

Previously on this board there was a lot of chatter and discussion about resurrecting the charity event, so lets see some enthusiasm! Put up or shut up......
