I've found a bunch of options regarding luggage carriers and tire toters. The clamshell options look nice, but would be difficult to get four track wheels inside. They are also very pricey. Egg, champion, Ion, Trekker are all similar in size and cost between $1500 to $2000. Trailex makes two really cool options (Tire Toter and Trailgaiter). The tire Toter is aluminum, has a lockable rack for your wheels, and large bed to bolt on a tool box. If I could find one used, that's what I'd do. The trailgater can be configured with a tire rack in front of the storage bin.
However, I think the best bang for the buck would be to get a Harbor Freight trailer ($275), pay someone to weld on a tow hitch reciever so that I could insert a Tiretail tire rack($130) (http://www.izoomgraphics.com/index.php?m...ex&cPath=4) and then bolt on a tool box ($50). Only downside is that titling and registering a "home made trailer" is a PITA in Pennsylvania (I think it costs $150 and you have to wait like 5-8 weeks for tags). Maybe going with a new one from Trailex makes sense just to avoid all the hastle.
