I saw the original post, and turned away. I read some of the responses just now, and smiled.

Two factoids, that may even be true. First, when one looks at brands of cars voters own and party identification, Porsche ownership lines up most closely with the Republican party. Happy to be the exception to that rule, but then we also own a Volvo station wagon. Second, the highest correlation factor for party identification is the party to which one's parents belonged.
