I have a big head (7 3/4 helmet size) and a fairly large neck  (17 1/2) so I have a Large Hans, and can only put it on from sliding it from the rear and spread at the front edge of the Hans is still tight.

If you haven't purchased quick releases for it you really want to.  I didn't and used mine for a year before getting the QR's, what a difference in the ease with which I put on and take off.

At a $100 they seem ridiculously over priced, but after using them for three or four events, worth every penny in convenience let alone improved safety if you absolutely had to get out of your car quickly after an incident.
