Carriage Inn B&B in Charles Town is very wife-appropriate, but pricey in season. Stayed there during the Shenandoah event in 2007 -- since I could not be there for breakfast, the owners packed me a lunch each day. Nice touch. Since then, I've stayed at either the Holiday Express in Ranson or the Comfort Suites in Martinsville.
